script is a blueprint for producing an advertisement or motion picture.
For Radio, the script is a copyrighted piece used to describe a sale,
event or brand of a particular product. Pertaining to film and television,
it can be adapted from a previous work such as a novel, play or short
story, or it may be an original work in and of itself. Every year, the
Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences hands out Oscars in both
Original Screenplay and Adapted Screenplay categories. In the United
States of America, the Writers Guild of America has final control on
who may be awarded screenwriting credit for a screenplay in a union
production.
